Tracy Maddox specializes in the communities of Berkeley, Oakland, Piedmont, and Emeryville, representing buyers and sellers. Highly responsive and proactive, Tracy is known for her ability to focus on and connect with her clients, guiding them through the process. From the first-time homebuyer to the repeat investor client, she has found this to be equally important. “Buying or selling your home can be an intimidating and emotional process,” says Tracy. “It’s important to me that their experience is a good one throughout.”
Always an advocate for her clients, Tracy possesses well-honed negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of the market, as well as a sense of fun. She also believes that understanding client needs is key and an important aspect of her success. “I love the psychology of spaces,” Tracy says. “People are very influenced by the space and environment in which they live. Helping someone to find the right home for them is a very important and deeply personal endeavor, which I’m very passionate about.”
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, her grandfather was a fine craftsman who fueled her love of beautiful homes. “Everyone in my family collaborated on the design and building of their own home. It’s part of our DNA” This love of design and attention to detail have served her well in crafting and positioning listings that stand out, exciting buyers and often generating multiple offers.
In addition to her work in real estate, Tracy is a dedicated animal activist. A vegan and advocate for all animals, she believes that nonviolence toward all living beings is mankind’s best hope for a sustainable future. Admitting to a particular weakness for dogs and large dogs, in particular, she donates a portion of each sale to no-kill shelters in the East Bay.
